Installation standards

Dead-flat subfloors, clean transitions

Utah's dry climate shifts demand exact tolerances. We grind concrete, level joists, and test ambient moisture before unboxing a single board.

Perimeter expansion spacing

High-spot diamond grinding and self-leveling cementitious pours bring subfloors to within three-sixteenths of an inch across ten-foot spans.

Cross-line laser levels map sightlines from principal doorways, calculating board cuts to prevent narrow slivers against walls or thresholds.

Calibrated spacers maintain quarter-inch perimeter margins behind baseboards, giving planks room to breathe through Wasatch winter-summer moisture swings.

We strip damaged coverings down to bare substrate, pull perimeter staples, and vacuum concrete slab pores to prepare for leveling primers.

Foundational rule

A finished floor is only as durable as the subfloor underneath it. We never lay a plank over compromised foundation.

Containment protocol

Zero dust in ducts

Before turning a single saw, we seal doorways with heavy magnetic zip-walls and connect commercial HEPA air extractors at the cut station. Your HVAC registers stay covered.

Neoprene floor runners protect adjacent pathways from foot traffic. Every work shift ends with magnetic nail sweeps and industrial vacuuming, leaving living spaces immediately habitable.
